Joseph WolfeWolfe Quartet

A passion for detail and the endless possibilities of sound, balance and colour are at the core of the Wolfe Quartet's ethos. It was founded by the conductor and violinist Joseph Wolfe who, although enjoying the challenge of conducting, was missing the intimacy of playing chamber music. “It felt like a homecoming,” he said. Joseph found three like-minded players in Claire, Sheida and Marie-France and they began the hard work involved in bringing to performance level some of the most exquisite music ever written.
Now, alongside a range of public concerts, the Wolfe Quartet brings high quality performances to children of all ages through education and outreach projects. The players consider a string quartet 'ideal' in its portability giving them the versatility to play everywhere and to everyone.
